21 Day No Complaining Challenge

This year for my birthday, I am embarking on a 21 day no complaining challenge, and I invite you to join me.

The idea is simple: Make it 21 days without complaining. If you complain, you switch a bracelet to the opposite wrist, and start back at day one. You then continue on until you are able to make it 21 days complaint free.

Starting today, I will be using Tim Ferriss’ definition that complaining is “describing an event or person negatively without indicating next steps to fix the problem” or using other profanity. Feel free to create your own definition, or go with the original of gossiping, criticizing, or complaining.

Although difficult, the effort should at the very least force a greater awareness of how often complaints come into our daily conversation. Perhaps trying this challenge may even improve your life in some small way. I wish you the best of luck.
